What is the first step?

You have already made the first step in considering to seek professional support through counselling. Now, you can book a free 30 minute consultation where you can share more about the the obstacles you are facing, I can share my approach in more detail, and we can see if we will be a good fit for each other.

how do i book a session?

You can book sessions using the online booking portal Serenespacecounselling.janeapp.com, which is also available on the Contact Page.

You will be asked to select the type of session you would like to book and the system will show you all upcoming available appointments.

are my sessions covered by insurance?

Yes, they could be!!!

Please consult with your insurance provide or human resources department to determine if your benefits plan covers therapy and/or counselling provided by a Registered Social Worker (RSW) registered with the BC College of Social Workers (BCCSW) or a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) registered with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT).

Can you directly bill my insurance company?

Unfortunately, I cannot bill your insurance company directlly at this time. After each session, you will be emailed a receipt which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

is there a cancellation policy?

Yes, if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you can do so at any time on the booking site, as long as you provide at lease 24 hours notice. If you provide less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged for the full amount of the session.
